The South Bend Adams Eagles edged the visiting Leo Lions softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Penn Kingsmen (Mishawaka, IN) in a Northern Indiana challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. South Bend Adams will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Kingsmen enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, IN).

The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Peru (Peru, IN). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Peru edged Lewis Cass (Walton, IN), 3-0, in a league challenge.
