April 26, 2025: Poynette, WI 53955 Poynette Pumas (Poynette, WI) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI), 7-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Poynette improves its record to 11-2 on the year. The Pumas travel to Lakeside Lutheran (Lake Mills, WI) to face the Warriors in a Capitol - North game on Tuesday, April 29. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 5-8. Lakeside Lutheran won 11-5 in their recent non-league game against Stoughton (Stoughton, WI)
The Bluejays now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Wausau West for a Wisconsin Valley game on Thursday, May 1. Merrill will face a Warriors squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI). The Warriors record now stands at 4-8.
