The Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) softball the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 10-7 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River Forest for a Greater South Shore outing on Monday, April 28.

With the loss, Portage moves to 4-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to encounter the Pirates in a Duneland outing on Tuesday, April 29. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 1-14. Merrillville lost 21-3 in their recent non-league outing against Hobart (Hobart, IN)
