Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 1. Monticello will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
