San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Carson Colts (Carson, CA), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Banning for a challenge on Tuesday, May 2. San Pedro will battle a Pilots squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Narbonne (Harbor City, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Carson falls to 8-9 on the campaign.
