In Thursday's non-league battle, the Rockingham MudDogs (Weyers Cave, VA) lacrosse squad the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), by a count of 7-4.

Coming up next, the MudDogs clash with the Fishburne Military Caissons (Waynesboro, VA) in a Virginia Independent battle, on Monday, May 1. Rockingham will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Caissons come into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 24-1 non-league loss to Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA).
