Ohio High School Softball - Wadsworth nudges Barberton
April 27, 2023: Wadsworth, OH 44281 Wadsworth Grizzlies (Wadsworth, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Barberton Magics (Barberton, OH), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Royalton for a Suburban - National challenge on Monday, May 1. Wadsworth will face a Bears squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH). The Bears record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Barberton falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Magics host Manchester (Akron, OH) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. Manchester won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (Cuyahoga Falls, OH)
