JUNIOR RIGHT HANDED PITCHER KATHRYN McGINTY WAS PUT INTO THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE 6TH INNING WITH TORREY PINES AHEAD 6-2 WITH ONE RUN ALREADY IN AND THE BASES LOADED WITH NO OUTS AND SHE GOT 2 GROUND OUTS AND A POP OUT AND THEN PITCHED THE 7TH INNING AGAIN GETTING OUT OF A 2ND BASES LOADED JAM AS THE TORREY PINES FALCONS DEFEATED THE MISSIONH HILLS GRIZZLIES 6-2 IN A KEY NORTH COUNTY COASTAL LEAGUE CONTEST TODAY IN A GAME PLAYED AT FALCON FIELD IN CARMEL VALLEY. JUNIOR LEFT HANDED PITCHER GEORGIA BILSKI IMPROVED TO 12-3 ON THE SEASON BY THROWING 5 INNINGS WHILE ALLOWING ONLY 1 EARNED RUN AND SHE ALS0 HIT HER 6TH HOME RUN OF THE SEASON WITH A RUNNER ON BASE IN THE FIRST INNING FOR TORREY PINES. SOPHOMORE KELLY WHELIHAN WENT 2-3 WITH A RUN SCORED AND AN RBI AS TORREY PINES IMPROVED TO 18-4 OVERALL AND 4-2 IN NORTH COUNTY COASTAL LEAGUE PLAY. MISSION HILLS DROPS TO 12-8 OVERALL AND 2-4 IN THE BRUTAL LEAGUE WHERE ALL 6 TEAMS WERE IN THE OPEN DIVISION LAST YEAR.
