New Jersey High School Baseball - Garfield loses to Montclair
April 27, 2024: Garfield, NJ 07026 The Montclair Mounties crushed the host Garfield Boilermakers baseball team by a tally of 12-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Mounties now hold a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Bergen for a non-league bout on Monday, April 29. Montclair will face a Bruins team coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ). The Bruins record now stands at 7-8.
Next, the Boilermakers face the Hawthorne Christian Defenders (Hawthorne, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 30. Garfield will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Defenders enter the bout with a 5-4 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ).
