Tennessee High School Soccer - Cumberland County held off by Knoxville Central
April 27, 2024: Knoxville, TN 37918 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Knoxville Central Bobcats (Knoxville, TN) and the visiting Cumberland County Jets (Crossville, TN), saw Knoxville Central's soccer squad get by Cumberland County by a margin of 1-0.
The Bobcats now sport a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Karns for a AAA District 3 test on Tuesday, April 30. Knoxville Central will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Carter (Strawberry Plains, TN). The Beavers record now stands at 4-11.
With the loss, Cumberland County drops to 13-5 on the season. The Jets travel to McMinn County (Athens, TN) to meet the Cherokees in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 30. The Cherokees come into the test with a record of 5-8. McMinn County lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Rhea County (Evensville, TN)
