New Jersey High School Softball - Elizabeth bounces Hudson Catholic
April 27, 2024: Elizabeth, NJ 07202 Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hudson Catholic Hawks (Jersey City, NJ), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Minutemen now sport a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Allentown for a non-league challenge on Sunday, April 28. Elizabeth will face a Redbirds squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ). The Redbirds record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Hudson Catholic falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Hawks host Kearny (Kearny, NJ) to face the Kardinals in a HCIAL - American challenge on Monday, April 29. The Kardinals enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Kearny won 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Harrison (Harrison, NJ)
