April 27, 2024: Baltimore, OH 43105 Liberty Union Lions (Baltimore, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Amanda-Clearcreek for a Mid-State - Buckeye challenge on Monday, April 29. Liberty Union will battle a Aces squad coming off a 10-3 league loss to Logan Elm (Circleville, OH). The Aces record now stands at 4-10.
With the loss, Newark falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Licking Valley (Newark, OH) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 8-7.
