Florida High School Baseball - Poplar Springs loses to Cottondale
April 28, 2022: Cottondale, FL 32431 The Cottondale Hornets crushed the visiting Poplar Springs Atomics baseball team by a tally of 15-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Hornets now hold a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ponce De Leon for a non-league bout on Friday, April 29. Cottondale will face a Pirates team coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Laurel Hill (Laurel Hill, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 3-15.
Next, the Atomics face the Vernon Yellowjackets (Vernon, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 2. Poplar Springs will attempt to advance on its 4-12 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 1-17 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Chipley (Chipley, FL).
