Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Platteview Trojans (Springfield, NE) and the visiting Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE), saw Platteview's baseball squad knock off Crete by a count of 12-4.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 29. Platteview will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 5-13 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Thurston-Cuming County (Bancroft, NE).

The Cardinals now possess a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairbury for a non-league battle on Friday, April 29. Crete will play a Jeffs squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Hastings (Hastings, NE). The Jeffs record now stands at 3-9.
