The First Flight Nighthawks baseball team (Kill Devil Hills, NC), was overwhelmed 8-0 in Thursday's non-league test with the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC)

With the win, Perquimans upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to face the Red Barons in a Four Rivers 1A bout on Tuesday, May 3. The Red Barons enter the bout with a record of 13-6. Gates County won 11-1 in their recent league bout against North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC)

Next, the Nighthawks face the Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A bout, on Friday, April 29. First Flight will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 10-7 record after their 3-0 league win over First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC).
