Washington High School Softball - Burlington-Edison holds off Blaine
April 28, 2023: Blaine, WA 98230 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) and the host Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), saw Burlington-Edison's softball squad nip Blaine by a count of 4-2.
The Tigers now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lynden for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Monday, May 1. Burlington-Edison will face a Lions squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Lions record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Blaine falls to 8-1 on the campaign. The Borderites travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to face the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Tuesday, May 2. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 8-3. Mt. Baker won 31-8 in their recent league match against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA)
