The Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) softball routed the host Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX), 12-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Plainsmen (27-5) will now prepare for their bout against Ysleta (El Paso, TX). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 18-14 record. In their last bout, Ysleta toppled Canutillo (Canutillo, TX), 6-2, in a non-league bout.
