Pennsylvania High School Softball - Blacklick Valley bounces United
April 28, 2025: Nanty Glo, PA 15943 The Blacklick Valley Vikings softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting United Lions to 3 in the Vikings non-league win on Monday.
The Vikings now possess a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Turkeyfoot Valley Area for a Western Pennsylvania battle on Tuesday, April 29. Blacklick Valley will confront a Rams team coming off a 17-2 league loss to Ferndale (Johnstown, PA). The Rams record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, United moves to 0-13 on the season. The Lions host Portage (Portage, PA) to confront the Mustangs in a Heritage battle on Tuesday, April 29. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 2-13. Portage lost 9-8 in their recent league battle against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA)
