Virginia High School Softball - Lord Botetourt edged by James River
April 28, 2025: Daleville, VA 24083 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA), 13-12 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, James River improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Knights travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to face the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, April 29. The Buffaloes enter the game with a record of 8-2. Floyd County lost 8-6 in their recent non-league game against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA)
The Cavaliers now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Cave Spring for a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. Lord Botetourt will face a Knights squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Knights record now stands at 7-6.
