The Stuttgart Ricebirds softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Parkview Patriots to 8 in the Ricebirds non-league win on Monday.

The Ricebirds now possess a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wynne for a 4A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, April 29. Stuttgart will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 14-1 league win over Trumann (Trumann, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Parkview moves to 6-18 on the season. The Patriots host Greenbrier (Greenbrier, AR) to confront the Panthers in a 5A Central battle on Tuesday, April 29.
