Oakdale Mustangs (Oakdale, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting East Union Lancers (Manteca, CA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Oakdale upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Escalon (Escalon, CA) to battle the Cougars in a Valley Oak League test on Tuesday, May 4. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 2-9. Escalon lost 15-9 in their recent non-league test against Big Valley Christian (Modesto, CA)

With the defeat, East Union falls to 8-3 on the season. The Lancers travel to Ripon (Ripon, CA) to battle the Indians in a Valley Oak League test on Tuesday, May 4. The Indians come into the test with a record of 5-9. Ripon won 16-5 in their recent non-league test against Hughson (Hughson, CA)
