St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD), 7-4 in a league test.

With the win, St. Mary's Ryken upgrades its record to 5-15 on the season.

With the defeat, DeMatha falls to 13-11 on the season. The Stags host Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA) to battle the Knights in a Washington Catholic test on Monday, May 2. The Knights come into the test with a record of 16-4. Bishop O'Connell won 11-5 in their recent league test against St. John's (Washington, DC)
