Indiana High School Softball - Bremen bounces Rochester
April 29, 2022: Bremen, IN 46506 The Bremen Lions routed the visiting Rochester Zebras softball squad by a final score of 13-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Lions (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN). The Knights come into the Northern Indiana contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Mishawaka Marian achieved victory over South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN), 7-2, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Zebras play the Northfield Norsemen (Wabash, IN) in a Three Rivers contest, on Monday, May 2. Rochester will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Norsemen come into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 16-13 non-league win over Marion (Marion, IN).
Game Summary
The offense kept rolling on Friday night at Pfeiffer Field as the Lady Lions belted three doubles and two more home runs. Jaylin Swint homered for the second time scoring Mickie Shively who walked, to a walk off win. Avery Wildauer had a pair of doubles, and Lainey Neher added a two bagger as well. Shively had 2 hits, while Katie Moyer had three.
Naomi Flores picked up the win from the circle allowing only two runs on three hits, while striking out four.
