In Saturday's non-league challenge, the McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) baseball squad triumphed over the host Franklin Yellowjackets (Stockton, CA), by a final score of 8-0.

With the win, McClatchy upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Lions host River City (West Sacramento, CA) to battle the Raiders in a Metropolitan Conference challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 16-10. River City lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Vacaville (Vacaville, CA)

With the defeat, Franklin falls to 11-12 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Edison (Stockton, CA) to battle the Vikings in a San Joaquin Athletic Association challenge on Tuesday, May 2.
