New York High School Softball - Fredonia nudges Williamsville East
April 29, 2023: Fredonia, NY 14063 Fredonia Hillbillies (Fredonia, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Hillbillies now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gowanda for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Fredonia will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Randolph (Randolph, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Williamsville East falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Flames host St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY) to battle the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. St. Mary's lost 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Orchard Park (Orchard Park, NY)
