April 29, 2024: Damascus, MD 20872 In Monday's non-league contest, the Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD), by a margin of 8-2.
With the triumph, Damascus moves its record to 15-1 on the year. The Hornets host Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD) to play the Panthers in a non-league contest on Thursday, May 2. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 4-7. Paint Branch won 14-4 in their recent non-league contest against Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD)
In their next game, the Hawks play the Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, May 1. Urbana will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Lancers come into the contest with a 13-5 record after their 4-3 league loss to Walkersville (Walkersville, MD).
