Virginia High School Softball - Hayfield bounces Falls Church
April 29, 2024: Alexandria, VA 22315 The crowd at Monday's league match between the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) and the visiting Falls Church Jaguars (Falls Church, VA), saw Hayfield's softball squad nip Falls Church by a count of 14-7.
The Hawks now sport a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edison for a National match on Thursday, May 2. Hayfield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-2.
With the loss, Falls Church falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA) to face the Majors in a National match on Wednesday, May 1. The Majors enter the match with a record of 4-11. Mount Vernon lost 13-3 in their recent league match against Edison (Alexandria, VA)
