The Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM) baseball trounced the visiting Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), 14-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they host Lordsburg for a 2A District 3 challenge on Friday, May 2. Mescalero Apache will clash with a Mavericks team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The Mavericks record now stands at 8-8.

With the defeat, Capitan drops to 0-15 on the year. The Tigers travel to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM) to clash with the SonBlazers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 2. The SonBlazers go into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Mesilla Valley Christian School won 13-0 in their recent league outing against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM)
