Virginia High School Soccer - Mechanicsville knocks off Armstrong
April 29, 2025: Mechanicsville, VA 23111 The Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Armstrong Wildcats (Richmond, VA), 8-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now hold a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Hanover for a Capital challenge on Friday, May 2. Mechanicsville will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Henrico (Richmond, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Armstrong moves to 2-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA) to encounter the Vikings in a Colonial challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Vikings go into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Thomas Jefferson lost 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Hermitage (Richmond, VA)
