New Jersey High School Softball - Verona bounces Bloomfield
April 29, 2025: Verona, NJ 07043 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) and the visiting Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ), observed Verona's softball team get by Bloomfield by a tally of 14-8.
The Hillbillies (9-5) will now prepare for their bout against Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Maroon Raiders go into the non-league bout with a 8-6 record. In their last bout, Nutley was routed by Columbia (Maplewood, NJ), 4-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Bengals clash with the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 1. Bloomfield will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record.
