In Tuesday's non-league test, the Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) softball squad got by the host Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), by a tally of 7-6.

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) in a Fox Valley test, on Wednesday, April 30. Jacobs will attempt to advance on its 12-10 season record. The Whip-Purs go into the test with a 13-6 record after their 8-6 league loss to McHenry (McHenry, IL).

The Royals (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Bulldogs go into the Upstate Eight test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Riverside-Brookfield held off Elgin (Elgin, IL), 19-4, in a non-league test.
