Virginia High School Soccer - Cox nudges Maury
April 30, 2024: Norfolk, VA 23517 Cox Falcons (Virginia Beach, VA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Falcons confront the Landstown Eagles (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Beach challenge, on Friday, May 3. Cox will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 2-1 league loss to Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA).
The Commodores now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Norcom for a Eastern challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Maury will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-7.
