Virginia High School Softball - Orange County bounces Western Albemarle
April 30, 2024: Crozet, VA 22932 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) and the host Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA), saw Orange County's softball squad achieve victory over Western Albemarle by a count of 21-3.
The Fighting Hornets now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Louisa County for a non-league match on Thursday, May 2. Orange County will face a Lions squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Lions record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Western Albemarle falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to face the Flying Flucos in a non-league match on Thursday, May 2. The Flying Flucos enter the match with a record of 3-5.
