In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Saucon Valley Panthers baseball team scored a close 7-1 win over the Catasauqua Rough Riders.

The Panthers (13-3) will now prepare for their game against Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA). The Spartans go into the Colonial game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Southern Lehigh nudged Salisbury Township (Allentown, PA), 8-3, in a league game.

Next, the Rough Riders play the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies (Allentown, PA) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 2. Catasauqua will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Huskies go into the game with a 3-13 record after their 10-0 league loss to Emmaus (Emmaus, PA).
