The Windham Whippets baseball squad (Willimantic, CT), was overwhelmed 11-0 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT)

With the triumph, Wheeler moves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Stonington (Stonington, CT) to confront the Bears in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 3. The Bears enter the bout with a record of 10-3. Stonington won 8-0 in their recent league bout against Plainfield (Central Village, CT)

The Whippets (1-9) will now prepare for their bout against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels enter the Eastern Connecticut - Division II bout with a 4-7 record. In their last bout, Ledyard achieved victory over Plainfield (Central Village, CT), 16-1, in a non-league bout.
