In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Malden Golden Tornados volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Somerville Highlanders.

The Golden Tornados (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Greater New Bedford RVT (New Bedford, MA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record.

Next, the Highlanders play the Lynn English Bulldogs (Lynn, MA) in a Greater Boston challenge, on Monday, May 5. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Malden (Malden, MA).
