New Mexico High School Softball - Valley succumbs to Rio Grande

In Wednesday's non-league battle, the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) softball team routed the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 22-12.

The Ravens now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eldorado for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Rio Grande will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 13-8 non-league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-11.

With the loss, Valley moves to 5-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to confront the Spartans in a non-league battle on Friday, May 2. The Spartans come into the battle with a record of 2-9. Bernalillo lost 22-17 in their recent non-league battle against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)
