New York High School Softball - Port Byron bounces Cato-Meridian
April 30, 2025: Port Byron, NY 13140 The Port Byron Panthers (Port Byron, NY) softball routed the visiting Cato-Meridian Blue Devils (Cato, NY), 14-2 in Wednesday's league outing.
The Panthers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weedsport for a Section 3 Patriot National outing on Friday, May 2. Port Byron will encounter a Wolverines team coming off a 19-3 league win over Pulaski (Pulaski, NY). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Cato-Meridian moves to 4-2 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Bishop Ludden (Syracuse, NY) to encounter the Gaelic Knights in a non-league outing on Friday, May 2. The Gaelic Knights come into the outing with a record of 0-3. Bishop Ludden lost 27-7 in their recent league outing against Bishop Grimes (East Syracuse, NY)
