April 30, 2025: Murphy, NC 28906 The Murphy Bulldogs edged the visiting Cherokee Braves softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs play the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 9-3 league loss to Murphy (Murphy, NC).
The Braves (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights enter the Smoky Mountain 1A challenge with a 15-3 record. In their last challenge, Robbinsville edged Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), 10-0, in a league challenge.
