The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Highland Trojans (Highland, IN) and the host Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN), observed Highland's softball team prevail over Hammond Central by a tally of 17-1.

The Trojans (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Red Devils go into the Northwest Crossroads bout with a 8-4 record. In their last bout, Lowell knocked off Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN), 5-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wolves clash with the Westville Blackhawks (Westville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 3. Hammond Central will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record.
