The Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) softball routed the host Tippecanoe Valley Vikings (Akron, IN), 10-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeKalb for a non-league outing on Thursday, May 1. Homestead will encounter a Barons team coming off a 14-2 league win over New Haven (New Haven, IN). The Barons record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Tippecanoe Valley moves to 6-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Jimtown (Elkhart, IN) to encounter the Jimmies in a Northern State outing on Thursday, May 1.
