Pennsylvania High School Softball - Punxsutawney bounces Philipsburg-Osceola
April 30, 2025: Punxsutawney, PA 15767 The Punxsutawney Chucks softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers to 0 in the Chucks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Chucks now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tyrone for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. Punxsutawney will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Philipsburg-Osceola moves to 8-5 on the season. The Mountaineers host Bedford (Bedford, PA) to confront the Bisons in a Laurel Highlands 1 battle on Monday, May 5. The Bisons come into the battle with a record of 11-6. Bedford won 15-0 in their recent league battle against Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA)
