April 30, 2025: Waynesboro, VA 22980 The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets overwhelmed the host Waynesboro Little Giants softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Green Hornets meet the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, May 2. Wilson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Gladiators go into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 8-7 league win over Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA).
The Little Giants (0-11) will now prepare for their challenge against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, James River held off Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 13-10, in a league challenge.
