Virginia High School Softball - Bishop Ireton sneaks past Flint Hill
April 30, 2026: Oakton, VA 22124 The Bishop Ireton Cardinals softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Flint Hill Huskies to 5 in the Cardinals non-league win on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's Ryken for a Washington Catholic battle on Friday, May 1. Bishop Ireton will confront a Knights team coming off a 9-6 league win over St. John's (Washington, DC). The Knights record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Flint Hill moves to 5-10 on the season. The Huskies host St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA) to confront the Saints in a non-league battle on Friday, May 1. The Saints come into the battle with a record of 2-5. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes won 20-10 in their recent league battle against Madeira (McLean, VA)
