In Monday's league test, the host East Providence Townies lacrosse squad scored a tight 15-10 victory over the Ponaganset Chieftains.

The Townies now have a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Narragansett for a Division 3 test on Wednesday, May 3. East Providence will face a Mariners squad coming off a 8-7 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 7-0.

In their next game, the Chieftains face the Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) in a Division 3 game, on Saturday, May 6. Ponaganset will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 2-8 record after their 17-2 non-league loss to St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI).
