Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders (Easton, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palisades for a Colonial - East challenge on Friday, May 3. Notre Dame-Green Pond will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA). The Pirates record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Bangor falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Slaters host Saucon Valley (Hellertown, PA) to battle the Panthers in a Colonial - East challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-11. Saucon Valley lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Pen Argyl (Pen Argyl, PA)
