Michigan High School Softball - Chesaning holds off Merrill
May 1, 2024: Chesaning, MI 48616 Chesaning Indians (Chesaning, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Durand for a Mid-Michigan challenge on Monday, May 6.
With the loss, Merrill falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Vandals host Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI) to face the Irish in a Mid-State challenge on Friday, May 3. The Irish enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Sacred Heart Academy won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Fulton (Middleton, MI)
