Illinois High School Softball - Pontiac can't hold off Marquette
May 1, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 The Marquette Crusaders softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Pontiac Indians to 7 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Marquette improves its record to 12-7 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Seneca (Seneca, IL) to clash with the Fighting Irish in a Tri-County game on Thursday, May 2. The Fighting Irish come into the game with a record of 22-1. Seneca won 6-5 in their recent league game against Marquette (Ottawa, IL)
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a Illini Prairie game, on Thursday, May 2. Pontiac will attempt to improve on its 19-7 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 1-16 record after their 19-4 non-league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL).
