May 1, 2025: Hillside, NJ 07205 The Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) baseball trounced the visiting North Star Academy (Newark, NJ), 14-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Orange for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 6. Hillside will clash with a Tornadoes team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Tornadoes record now stands at 2-11.
With the defeat, North Star Academy drops to 3-7 on the year. The travel to University (Newark, NJ) to clash with the Phoenix in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 5. The Phoenix go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. University lost 19-3 in their recent league challenge against Weequahic (Newark, NJ)
