May 1, 2025: Maywood, IL 60153 The Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) soccer overwhelmed the host Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL), 9-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Maroons now hold a 15-1 record. They play next when they host Bartlett for a Upstate Eight West challenge on Saturday, May 3. Elgin will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to West Aurora (Aurora, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Proviso East moves to 3-12 on the year. The Pirates host Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL) to encounter the Warriors in a West Suburban - Gold challenge on Tuesday, May 6. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 2-11. Willowbrook won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL)
